There are no other functional changes in this release compared to fink-0.45.2. This will allow installs on macOS 10.14 and earlier to continue to use any available binary distributions. With this release, the default prefix for new installs is reverted to /sw for all macOS versions from 10.14 and earlier. This is a minor behavioral fix for an issue introduced in 0.45.2. The Fink Project has released fink-0.45.3.

Support for those two releases is coming soon. This release does not yet support macOS 11 (Big Sur) or macOS 12 (Monterey). This is a minor upgrade to support XQuartz 2.8. Packages or build everything from source. You can choose whether you want to download precompiled binary ("port" it) and make it available for download as a coherentĪnd apt-get to provide powerful binary package management.
